“The Young Gods Play Kurt Weill” 30 years anniversary remastered.
Our album “The Young Gods Play Kurt Weill” is being reissued on November 19th by PIAS, both as an LP faithfull to the original edition and as a CD Digipack.
Exactly 30 years ago, “The Young Gods Play Kurt Weill” was released, an album of covers by German musician Kurt Weill recorded in 1989 at the Artag studios in Zurich, produced by Roli Mosimann and released in April 1991. The band played the album in its entirety during a tribute concert to Kurt Weill commissioned in September 1989 by La Bâtie-Festival in Geneva and by the Fri-Son in Fribourg, Switzerland. The result of the show was so positive that recording the music in studio became an evidence. This was the group’s first album with Alain Monod (aka Al Comet) who replaced Cesare Pizzi on keyboards.

Notre album “The Young Gods Play Kurt Weill” est réédité et sort jeudi 19 novembre chez PIAS, en version vinyle fidèle à la version originale et en Digipack.
En avril 1989, il y a 30 ans sortait “The Young Gods Play Kurt Weill”, un album de reprises de l’auteur-compositeur allemand Kurt Weill, enregistré en 1989 au studio Artag (Zürich) et produit par Roli Mosimann. En septembre 1989, le groupe avait entièrement joué cet album lors d’un concert en l’honneur de Kurt Weill, organisé par La Bâtie-Festival (Genève) et Fri-Son (Fribourg) en Suisse. Le résultat du concert fut tel qu’il devint évident d’y donner suite et d’en faire un album studio. C’était le premier album du groupe avec Alain Monod (alias Al Comet) qui remplaça Cesare Pizzi aux claviers.
